The Story
“Strip it down far enough and you get this: leather, rivets, and exactly what you need.”
The Coal Fan is built for the man who carries three cards and nothing else. The espresso nubuck exterior is matte, dense, and structured — it develops a natural patina along the edges and corners with use. The cream stitching runs clean around the entire perimeter.
Open it and the interior is direct: two open leather panel pockets — one on each side — and a centre card fan built from lighter tan suede. Two silver rivet posts sit centre on the inner panels, reinforcing the card fan attachment at its most stressed point.
Minimal carry. Maximum durability. The Coal Fan is built to outlast the wallet it replaces.

Quality & Craftsmanship
Nubuck leather is full-grain leather that has been surface-buffed to create a matte, tactile finish — more premium than split or bonded leather. The centre fan pocket is constructed from genuine suede, stitched and riveted at both anchor points with solid silver metal posts. The card fan opens symmetrically and accommodates 4–6 cards comfortably.
Uses
- Minimalist daily carry — cards only
- Front pocket carry — slim enough for shirt or jeans pocket
- Travel secondary carry alongside a main wallet
- Desk or event carry when a full wallet is unnecessary
Care & Maintenance
Use a nubuck brush to maintain the matte surface. Apply nubuck-specific conditioner only — standard leather creams will alter the finish. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. The suede fan pocket can be brushed lightly with a soft bristle brush.
Special Attributes
The dual rivet post construction is a workwear-inspired reinforcement method — the rivets distribute the stress of the card fan across the full thickness of the leather panel rather than relying on stitching alone.
